Easy Financing

Freedom Solar is proud to partner with CaliforniaFIRST and the HERO Program to offer Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing to Bay Area Homes and Businesses in participating cities and counties. Through this program, the homeowner pays off the solar installation as a small increase to the property taxes spread over many years. There is no FICO score requirement to qualify. A history of on-time property tax payments is required.

Options that Meet Your Needs

Freedom Solar can also provide eligible customers with solar leases and solar loans. We have years of experience helping customers evaluate third-party financial instruments, as well as the offerings of their own institutions, to find the right product for their situation and put solar on their roofs.

We are happy to meet with you and your financial planning team to discuss the cash flow characteristics of a solar investment so that your array’s value and potential are fully understood and you get the best possible terms.

Zero Down

For some customers, it is not feasible to make a cash purchase of a new solar array for their home. While this option will bring the fastest returns, there are numerous options for customers in different circumstances. Often the terms of a solar lease or solar loan can include zero money down. Call us for more information.

Rebates and Credits

The most significant incentive available to homes and businesses that install solar is the 26% Federal Income Tax Credit. Freedom Solar consulted with tax experts and compiled the following information explaining how you can get a 26% tax credit on your new roof as well as your solar installation! At the state level, there is still incentive funding available through the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) for new battery storage projects that meet the latest requirements. Call us and visit SGIP for more information.

Freedom Solar periodically collaborates with Bay Area employers to offer rebates and incentives for installing a rooftop solar system. Recent participant companies include HP, NVidia, and Apple.

The U.S. Department of Energy maintains a very thorough listing of renewable energy incentives online at the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE); see www.dsireusa.org.
